EMB-STOP XS-A-xx-F active (electromechanical) floating calliper disc brake
The EMB-STOP XS-A-xx-F generates its braking force via spring pressure and is released electromechanically. The absence of hydraulics makes this brake virtually maintenance-free. It impresses with its compact design and high braking force.
Structure and function
Two housing legs are connected via a spring-mounted floating calliper (floater). The brake pads, which are available in the variants "organic" or "sinter metal", are easy to replace. The braking force is generated via a brake piston. The brake is self-locking, i.e. the clamping force is maintained even in a de-energised state.
The brake is also available in an optimised version with a single-piece cast calliper.
