ROFLEX® – Torsionally flexible and fail-safe shaft coupling
Elastomer coupling in short design / low DBSE (distance between shaft ends).
The short shaft coupling is easy to service. It reliably compensates for any shaft misalignment (axial, radial, angular), dampens shocks and reduces torsional vibrations. In addition, the ROFLEX® has ATEX approval and EAC approval and is also suitable and verified for use in potentially explosive areas.
Thanks to its modular system of flawlessly graduated sizes, the ROFLEX® is highly adaptable. All shaft couplings elements of a particular size can be combined without any problem.
ROFLEX® models
Name | Model |
---|---|
ROFLEX® N | 2-part shaft coupling in affordable standard design |
ROFLEX® S-H Split | 3-part shaft coupling with split/cracked hubs (elastomer elements can be replaced in installed state) |
Highlights
- Modular system in flawlessly graduated sizes
- Shallow installation depth – short shaft gap
- Easy to service
- Compensate for all types of misalignments
Structure and function of ROFLEX®
The ROFLEX shaft coupling consists of two hubs whose cams are each inserted halfway into the precisely tailored spaces in the other hub. They can be used to connect shafts with a particularly small shaft gap thanks to the short design of the shaft coupling. The elastomer element located between the cams transmits the torques and compensates for misalignments.
Features
- Damping of torsional vibrations.
- Axial plug-in – easy to mount
- Torques up to 5000 Nm
- ATEX-compliant
Area of application / utilisation
For pump applications and general mechanical and plant engineering applications requiring power transmission with torsional vibration damping.
