High speed linear actuators
Actuators in U configuration type UBA
These high-speed linear actuators use a belt connection to drive a ball screw at speeds between 40 and 875 mm/s. They suit industrial applications and duty cycles up to 100%. Standard IEC frame brake motors can be used - 3-phase, DC or servo - and strokes up to 1 m are possible. Complete systems with encoder feedback and electronic drive are available.
On request larger models can be supplied for speeds up to 1.5 m/s.
The nature of these UBA actuators with their high speeds means that a precise control systems and brake motors will usually be required. Consideration must be given to stroke limit switches and over-runs. Also, although 100% continuous duty is possible, the operating life needs to be checked.
