PANASONIC MINAS brushless geared motors

Precise speed, compact dimensions, high efficiency

The MINAS range uses the latest motor technology for smaller sizes, higher efficiency and lower costs. Geared motors are available from 50 to 130 W with rated speeds from 1.5 to 1,000 r/min. Economic servo-style motors from 50 to 750 W suit dynamic speed control and can replace stepper drive.

WIDE RANGE AND PRECISE SPEED HOLDING

MINAS motors are rated at 3,000 r/min but can be run to 4,000 r/min. In the case of the GV and GP the speed control range is 30-4,000 r/min a 1:133 range, and speed holding accuracy is better than + 1%. Starting torque is a smooth 150% to avoid shocks.

COMPACT DIMENSIONS

MINAS technology has reduced the motor size and weight. Compared to previous Panasonic models, lengths are reduced by up to 55% and weight by 30%. Compared to general purpose induction motors, the gains are even greater.

HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The MINAS motors have a permanent magnet on the rotor which reduces secondary losses. Compared to conventional motors, power losses are reduced by 20% leading to significant savings on multi-axis machines.

MAINTENANCE FREE AND ADAPTABLE

There are no brushes and MINAS motors geared motors are maintenance free. Motor protection is IP65 and permissible ambients are -10 to +40°C. Supply voltage is single phase at 100-120 VAC or 200-240 VAC except for the 400 & 750 W KV models. MINAS motors and drives meet CE, UL and CCC.
