Tooth clutches – mechanical
Tooth clutches are torsionally rigid couplings Oscillations, vibrations, and shocks are not damped.
Tooth clutches at a glance
- BoWex® - Curved tooth coupling® with polyamide bush
- BoWex® HEW Compact
- GEARex® - all-steel tooth clutch
GEARex® exhibits an outstanding size/torque ratio and is suitable for the transmission of very high torques under the harshest conditions.
Information on toothing
Following the well-known functional principle of crowned gears, chamfer pressure in the toothing is prevented for angular and radial misalignments.
BoWex® tooth clutch
The smooth, hard surface of the BoWex® bush (crystalline structure) as well as the high thermal resistance and resistance to lubricants and fuels, hydraulic fluids, solvents etc. make polyamide an ideal material for components subjected to sliding stress, in particular in coupling engineering.
GEARex® all-steel tooth clutch
In order to ensure regular and controlled lubrication in an installed state, two diametrically opposed hydraulic connections are located radially on each coupling bush; hence, there are four connectors at a 90 ° offset to each other in the full coupling.
