KTR-SI safety coupling - ball catch principle
Safety and protection for your drive train
The KTR-SI is a torque-limiting overload system which operates using a form fit.
The following versions are available for to choose from:
- Ratcheting version DK
- Synchronous version SR
- Disengaging version FR
- Inhibited version SGR
Whether in combination with tried-and-tested couplings such as ROTEX®/BoWex® or via the integration of customer-specific drive components (e.g. sprockets), optimum solutions can be implemented for the respective drive application.
Highlights
- Easy monitoring via limit switches in the event of overload
- Available in backlash-free and disengaging versions
- Easy assembly and torque adjustment
- High response accuracy, even after a long operating period
- Automatically ready for operation again (DK, SR, SGR)
Functional description
In the event of an overload, relative motion between the drive and output end occurs, in that the barrier elements (ball bearings or rollers) leave their depression. The switching ring is forced to perform an axial movement up to the switching path "H" and activates the limit switch or proximity switch.
The DK version (ratcheting version) re-engages in the subsequent depression every 15 ° in the event of an overload.
The SR version (synchronous version) only re-engages again after one revolution (360 °) in the event of an overload.
The version FR (disengaging version) remains disconnected in the event of an overload. It is re-engaged manually or via a device during machine standstill.
The version SGR (inhibited synchronous version) is purely for torque determination without a ratcheting function. In the event of an overload, the drive is switched off via a limit switch.
