BoWex® - tooth clutch
Tooth clutch with high misalignment compensation capacity and maintenance-free continuous operation
Double-cardan curved-tooth couplings are flexible shaft connections that ensure positive-fit torque transmission. The BoWex® is axially - radially - and angularly flexible for optimum compensation of shaft misalignment issues. The combination of a steel hub and polyamide sleeve allows maintenance-free continuous operation with extremely favourable friction factors in the tooth pairing.

Structure and function
BoWex® curved-tooth couplings are shaft couplings for form-fit torque transmission and are particularly suitable for compensating for axial, radial and angular misalignments. The double cardan operating principle of BoWex® reduces restoring forces in the shaft train. The curved-tooth design prevents chamfer pressure on the toothing in case of angular and radial misalignments, enabling virtually wear-free operation of the BoWex® coupling. The material pairing of steel and polyamide enables maintenance-free operation with extremely good friction factors. Can be mounted vertically or horizontally without a special mounting tool.
